Publish your web site - using FrontPage 2002 to upload

Microsoft FrontPage 2002 gives you control of the tools and technologies you need to create and manage your web site as you want. Start Working exclusively in a familiar Office interface with no need to program, or take control of your HTML code. You can create pages with a normal WYSIWYG view or write code in HTML view. This tutorial will show you how to upload your files to the web server using FrontPage 2002.

1. Start up your Microsoft FrontPage software and click on File then select New, then Page or Web.

2. Design your website. Remember to save all your web pages in the folder My Webs located at: C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\My Documents\My Webs

3. When you have completed designing your website, click on File, then select Open Web and then you will need to find and select the My Webs folder in your computer .

4. You will now see a Folder List to the left of your design window which will show all of the files in your My Webs folder.

5. Click on File, then select Publish Web. This will display the Publish Destination window. Enter the publish destination as: ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com.au (replace yourdomain.com.au with your own domain name). The click OK.

6. You will then be prompted to enter the Name: and Password. The Name is your Username and the Password is your Password.

7. FrontPage will establish a connection to your server which will open the Publish Web window. Simply select files that you would like to publish then click Publish. Your website files will be published to the server.
